| About Me | Bec Morris was raised in Sydney, Australia, and moved to Los Angeles in 2017 to pursue her professional dance career. She began training at the age of two at Brent Street Performing Arts, one of Australia’s leading dance institutions. During her time at Brent Street, Bec trained extensively in jazz, tap, ballet, musical theatre, contemporary, and hip hop, graduating with a Certificate IV in 2010. From age 15, she began teaching younger dancers and later became Head of Department for the after-school program (YP & PTP). Alongside teaching, she worked in the studio’s administration and taught multiple styles including hip hop, jazz funk, and commercial. In Australia, Bec built a strong professional foundation, performing in major productions including X Factor Australia, the NRL Grand Final, Dance Academy (TV series and film), Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, Opera Australia, and Australia’s Got Talent. She also worked with global artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Flo Rida, Little Mix, Jessie J, Charli XCX, Redfoo, Aston Merrygold, LunchMoney Lewis, and Cody Simpson. After relocating to Los Angeles, Bec signed with Go 2 Talent Agency and quickly established herself in the US industry. Within six months, she secured a major role performing with Nicki Minaj across award shows, festivals, television appearances, and music videos. Working under creative director Jamie King (Michael Jackson, Madonna, Bruno Mars), she performed on some of the world’s biggest stages. In 2019, Bec joined J Balvin’s Arcoiris Tour, performing across more than 30 cities in the United States before continuing into Latin America. The tour featured sold-out arena and stadium shows, including Madison Square Garden and Crypto Arena. Following this, Bec transitioned into choreography and creative direction. She collaborated with director Santiago Salviche (JLo, Marc Anthony, Danna Paola), choreographing music videos including Mala Fama (Danna Paola), Get What U Get (Chloe Flower), and Small Things (JoJo). Her work with Joanna Levesque (JoJo) expanded into live performances, television, touring, and visual direction, including The Kelly Clarkson Show. She also served as JoJo’s dance coach during preparation for Moulin Rouge on Broadway. Most recently, Bec has stepped into directing large-scale productions. As of 2023, she is the director and choreographer of The Empire Strips Back, a theatrical burlesque production that has become a sold-out success across North America and Europe, with shows in cities including Paris, Toronto, Montreal, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Portland, Atlanta, Denver, and San Francisco.
Now working as a director, choreographer, and creative, Bec Morris continues to expand her impact across the global entertainment industry. |
